This is the latest information from Netsafe, supporting the Keeping it Real Online campaign.
"This month we have been supporting the release of the government's Keep it Real Online campaign.
This campaign is a significant investment designed to raise the profile of online safety issues and connect parents with specific advice and support.
In just two weeks, the videos which cover key topics of concern for parents in bullying, pornography, grooming and inappropriate content had been viewed more than 17 million times.
I'm pleased to see the second objective is also being met. We are seeing more people seeking and receiving help. Around half of all web traffic referred to netsafe.org.nz is coming via the Keep It Real Online website. Reports to our helpline have also risen."
