Fishing competition by Kerikeri Community Childcare Trust

 “It takes a village to raise a child”

Let’s come together as a community and engage in this opportunity for whanaungatanga, where both whanau and tamariki can learn and apply lifelong skills in meaningful ways, whilst enjoying the outdoors in our own backyard alongside one another! 


Save the date! 

Saturday 8th of May 2021 

‘One day’ fishing competition. 

Boat or land based. 

All fish must be measured with official measuring mats and pictures captured as proof.

Age limit: 0-12 years old. 

Start: 6am

Above 3 (Biggest): Snapper, Kahawai, Gurnard

Below 3 (Heaviest): Kina, Mussel, Tuatua

Open species: All other species are to be measured in length and combined total measurement of fish will be in the running for prizes. 

Weigh in time: 3pm (Stone Store, Car park side) followed by prize-giving. 

Sausage sizzle and beverages available at weigh in and prize-giving. Please bring along gold coins to help support our center and the cause.
